Getting a Taxi from the Airport to the Fruit House
There are lots of taxi options outside the Chiang Mai airport. There will be people asking you if you want a taxi as soon as you get out the door. The ones who come to the door like this usually speak better English than others and also charge a bit more than others. Feel free to take one of those, or to move out to the road and find a red tsongtoa taxi (a covered pickup truck with benches where passengers sit) and ask them to take you. You can also take a tuk tuk, which is a 3-wheeled motorized glorified golf cart looking thing. The price of the trip will likely vary anywhere from 100-300 Thai baht ($3-$9 USD).
All of these are great options to get to the fruit house. We recommend printing out the address and directions to the Fruit House (Viva Chiang Mai) to show your driver. If they are not sure where it is, they can call this number, which is the number of the caretaker at Viva Chiang Mai, who will be able to give them directions in Thai: 091 302 8520.
The Chiang Mai airport has free wifi that is easy to get on to, so if you run into any snags, feel free to take some time to sit down and take a few moments to relax, log onto the wifi, and from there you can communicate with us through FB chat or email.
